Altitude Capital Names Hon. Bruce Lehman to Advisory Board IPFrontline.com NEW YORK, NY - May 9, 2006 – Altitude Capital Partners, a private investment fund focused on intellectual property, has named Hon. Bruce A. Lehman to its advisory board. Mr. Lehman, the longest sitting Commissioner of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, serving from 1993-1998, was one of the chief architects of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. He is Chairman of the Board of the International Intellectual Property Institute, a non-profit, Washington-based IP development organization and think tank. The Institute promotes the creation of modern intellectual property systems and the use of intellectual property rights as a mechanism for investment, technology transfer and the creation of wealth throughout the world. Mr. Lehman also serves as Senior Counsel to Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, one other nation’s largest and most influential law firms. Mr. Lehman was the Clinton Administration's primary representative for intellectual property rights protection, and was a key player on these issues, both domestically and internationally. The National Law Journal named Mr. Lehman in 1994 its "Lawyer of the Year." Another publication, the National Journal, a Washington-based national magazine of public policy, in 1997 named Mr. Lehman one of the 100 most influential people in Washington. Mr. Lehman was recently elected to the Intellectual Asset Management IP Hall of Fame. Members include Thomas Edison and Thomas Jefferson, the first superintendent of U.S. patents.
